| What is Quota Club? • Quota International of Massillon is a
service organization. Quota's major service has been directed
toward the deaf, hard-of-hearing and those with speech difficulties,
as well as disadvantaged women and children. |

| How was Quota founded? • Quota was founded in
1919 in Buffalo, New York, by Wanda Frey Joiner. Today, Quota
is an international organization with clubs in 14 countries.
Quota International of Massillon is part of 6th District, Central
Area and International. |

| Who can join Quota? • Membership in Quota International is
by invitation. Membership is geared toward business executives
and professional women. |
 |
| When do we meet? • Quota International of Massillon meets the third Wednesday of each month at Panera Bread located at 2010 Lincoln Way E., Massillon in the Meadows Shopping Center. Three or four times per year we have an evening meeting in place of our luncheon meeting. Announcement is made of evening meeting sites at least 30 days prior to the meeting. |

| Do I have to attend every meeting? • Attendance
is not required, but members are encouraged to attend as many
meetings as possible to stay involved. |

| How much time to I have to volunteer? • Every
Quotarian is assigned to serve on a service or administrative
committee and on a fundraising committee. The number of additional
meetings varies, depending on the committee you are serving
on. Some meet monthly, while others meet as needed. Quotarians
are also asked to volunteer for optional community projects. |

| How much does
it cost? • Dues are $109.00 for new members for the first year. Dues are prorated throughout the year. Renewal dues are $99.00 per year. Your dues cover local, district and international dues obligations. In addition, Quotarians may be asked to contribute to special events but extra contributions are not required. |

| Are there any travel opportunities? • Quotarians
are invited to attend the District Conference, Central Area
Conference and International Convention. The International
Convention is held every two years with every other convention
held off-shore. Costs for these optional meetings include conference
registration and travel. Proceeds from an internal club fundraiser
are used to pay the expenses of the Club President to attend
these meetings. |

How does Quota raise funds for its projects? • An annual spring auction is held as our main fundraiser. We also hold a Christmas Tour of Homes event the first weekend in December each year. Smaller fundraisers are held in between our major events as directed by the Officers and Board.

| What kind of organization is the Massillon Quota Club? • Quota
International of Massillon is a 501(c)(4) organization. The
Quota International of Massillon Trust is a 501(c)(3)
and can receive tax-deductible charitable donations. We are
currently pursuing additional funds from grants. The Trust
is an arm of Quota International of Massillon, broadening our
community service funding. |

Who benefits from Quota Service projects? • Quota International of Massillon has:
- provided hearing aids for children and adults for over 15 years
- placed over 250 sound field amplifications systems in local elementary classrooms
- raised funds for an $85,000.00 audiology center for Stark County children to be screened for hearing loss
- helped create and pass HB150 in Ohio, which requires all babies born in a hospital to be tested for hearing loss prior to being sent home
- awarded scholorships yearly to two deserving individuals pursuing hearing or speech related majors, or to hearing impaired individuals going into any field
- worked with the battered woman's shelter
- collected and distributed over 3,000 books to needy children
- hosted Easter parties for children at the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon
- partnered with local soup kitchens to provide food
- worked with disadvantaged young women from the detention facility and group homes
- provided scholarships for disadvantaged families for The Golden Key Summer Camp for kids ages 3-8 for both typically developing and special needs children at Eastgate Early Childhood Center |
