| Quota International of Massillon has purchased and installed
over 250 sound amplification systems for elementary schools in Massillon and Westen Stark County. The systems enhance learning by creating
an atmosphere in which the teacher can be heard clearly by
all students in the classroom.
The club spends thousands of dollars annually purchasing
hearing aids and other devices to assist people with hearing
and communication problems.
Our "Sound Beginnings" program furnishes the first hearing aids for babies and children identified with hearing loss.
Scholarships are awarded to young people pursuing college
degrees in the service fields, preferably in speech and/or
hearing. Speech or hearing impaired students may apply for the scholorships in any field they choose. Three $1,000.00 scholarships are available yearly.
Our work with Disadvantaged Women and Children include working with the Woman's Shelter, Pal Mission and the Juvenile Detention Center. Our members also raise funds to help with soup kitchens, day care center for special needs children, summer camp programs and so much more. |
