How does  Quota of Massillon raise funds for its projects? • An annual spring dinner auction is held usually in April, as our main fundraiser. We also hold a Reverse Raffle event in early fall each year. Smaller fundraisers are held in between our major events, as directed by the Officers and Board.

What kind of organization is Quota of Massillon USA? • Quota of Massillon USA is a 501(c)(3) organization and can receive tax-deductible charitable donations.

Who benefits from Quota Service projects? • Quota of Massillon has:
  •  Provided hearing aids for over 100 children and adults in the past 29 years.  Most of this was through our Sound       Beginnings program that has now ended as there are now other means in the State of Ohio for providing assistance  with hearing aids for young children.
  • Review requests for FM transmitters and hearing aid replacements on an as needed basis.
  • Continue to place and replace Soundfield amplification systems in local elementary classrooms in Western Stark County.
  • Helped create and push for the legislation to pass HB150 in Ohio, which requires all infants born in a hospital to be   tested for hearing loss prior  to being sent home
  • Award $1,000 college scholarship annually to deserving senior undergrads or graduate students either pursuing a major in speech  pathology or audiology, or deaf education and a $1,000 college scholarship for senior undergrads or graduate students  in social work, early childhood education, special education, counseling or related field, or may be a hearing impaired student .  We have awarded up to five $1,000 college scholarships  in recent  years. No scholarships were awarded in 2020 due to COVID-19. Please check back in the spring of 2022 for scholarships to high school seniors who have a speech or hearing disability and are going on to college.
  • Provide new items for children going into foster care through the Pathway Caring for Children.  This began as our Quota Cares Project for March 2015 and has grown from there.  
  • Providing funds for a new program for foster parents called NEST.  Will assist with funds for a store to provide items for parents with foster children and provide gift cards for restaurants and clothing for babies and children.
  • Continue to provide funds to the Massillon Homeless Shelter to assist in providing rooms for two individuals or families plus supply items for the shelter on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist the Massillon Salvation Army with their back to school program by providing hearing screening, funds for backpacks and school supplies and supply volunteers for distribution.  We also assist them with their Christmas giveaway program.
  • Provide a Thanksgiving luncheon each year for the Faith in Action senior care workers and their care receivers
  • Provide Christmas each month for a needy family in the local community each year for a different family
  • Provide Christmas gift cards for a few families in need each year​
  • Provide funds for the Mercy Hospital's Baby sleep bags program
